ZOC BAR 12's SECRET DIARY

 

 

My Secret Diary by Zoc Bar 12 aged 11 years old: A record of my first year at Miss Theobald's Academy.

 

Zonk 1st

Well, today was hustle and bustle! When I finally got inside the first and second form carriage, directed by Dr Zargle, I only just got a seat next to Carolyn!

On the train journey,I was told the school Song,and informed I better know it! This is how it goes: 

Rule,Miss Theobald,
Miss Theobald rules the school.
If you cross her,
You are but a fool.
If you're naughty,
You will get minced up.
Miss Theobald is going to win the cup!

 

Zonk 2nd

I woke up and got dressed. As Carolyn and I walked out of our dormitory, we bumped into a couple of second years.

"Hi!" said one of them. "I'm Rachel Musters,and this is my pal,Splurgle Wiggs." Carolyn and I smiled.Then Splurgle spoke.

"Welcome to the school of TERROR!" she said, raising her eyebrows.

"What?" I asked.

"Surely you know about Miss Theobald!" smiled Rachel innocently.Splurgle raised her eyebrows EVEN FURTHER!!!!

"Watch!"

An enormous gorilla-type Zog was striding towards us.

"MUSTERS! WIGGS!" she bellowed."OUT OF THE WAY!!!" and she flung them over her shoulder and chased us down to class.

Miss Theobald's AWFUL!!!

 

Zonk 3rd

Yes, Miss T's definitly a Zog TERROR!!

But Dr Zargle couldn't be more different! On our first lesson with him,he told us to beware of Miss Theobald,and that we would be writing about ourselves,and MY essay was the only one that got 10/10!!!!

James Johnson is another matter altogether. He flicked a rubber at Carolyn, called me "PINK" and upsetted generally everyone!
Mr Meteor teaches Science and The Planets and is almost as nice and kind as Dr Zargle!
Miss Spludge is a sort of nice Zog who teaches Singing.

I've got a whole group of friends:

Carolyn,Zoc Bar 7,Zoc Bar 10,Lucy,Zoc Bar 11 and Squigling 7!!!!!!

 

Zonk 4th

When I was in assembly today, Rachel Musters and Splurgle Wiggs were singing:


Fool! Miss Theobald!
Miss Theobald is a fool!
If you cross her,
You RULE the school.
If she's horrid,
She will get minced up.
MISS THEOBALD IS GOING TO LOSE THE CUP!!!

Miss Theobald strode in with eyes like fireballs.

WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THIS CAN NOT BE TOLD!!!!

 

Zonk 5th

I've settled in quite well now. Today Miss T announced that we were going to go to a fair ground for a week.

That reminded me of Sally. Sally was at my old school.

She comes from planet Wurble. We were best friends, but Sally could n't come to Miss Theobald's because then it was a day school, instead of a boarding school, though now it is!

You see,Sally could n't go to a day school, because her father is a safety officer. he inspects and mends swings, parks and fairgrounds all over the UNIVERSE!!!

Sally's written to me, but obviously, I can't write back, because I never know where she'll be.

Oh, if only I could tell Sally about Miss T's being a boarding school,so she could come HERE!

 

Zonk 6th

At last, WE'RE HERE!

Carolyn was sick on the journey, but fortunately, into a paper bag! First of all I tried the ROCKET RACE. I was winning, but my shoe fell off, and James won! DOOM DOOM DEADLY DOOM!

But I came 1st in the Flying Saucer Race!

  

I won a little earth cat.

"Hello, what's your name then? Ebony? Velvet? Charcoal? Midnight?"

"No, actually, it's Blackie." purred the cat.

"You can TALK!!"

"Of course cats can talk. But we keep quiet on Earth, because if we talked to the humans they'd make us get jobs."

I thought about it. BLACKIE HAD A POINT!!!

 

Zonk 7th

I tried that slide, and, well, so did Blackie. Then, we tried the swings!

We got in them.

Faster and faster they swung back and forth,and then suddenly I heard a familiar voice.

IT WAS SALLY!!

"Zoc Bar!" she screamed " ITS YOU!!"

She told me that her father had been inspecting tha playground. Then I told Sally about Miss Theobald's being a boarding school, Sally asked her Dad if she could go, and SALLY'S ARRIVING NEXT WEEK!!!!
